Steam Locomotive 73082 Camelot Makes Rare Move on Mainline Today.
A rare Steam locomotive movement will be taking place today on the rail network. Bluebell Railway’s resident Standard 5 Camelot locomotive will be hauled by West Coast Railway Company’s diesel class 37 668 from East Grinstead (Bluebell Railway) to Bishops Lydeard (West Somerset Railway). Currently there is no Standard 5 locomotive which is able to run on the mainline, making 73082 Camelot’s move rather uncommon.
The train times have only just been released this morning, so if you’d like to see it you need to be quick. The train will leave East Grinstead at 8.46. Full route and timings can be found below. Please note that the train may run unexpectedly later or earlier than planned.
