Newhaven Town Yard (Newhaven Day Aggregates) sees a flow of aggregates from the Mendip quarries. Operated by Freightliner throughout the week, with the exception of Thursdays which is operated by DB Cargo taking flyash from the incinerator to Brentford (via Acton TC).
Typical classes are class 59 and 66 (both DB Cargo and Freightliner). Wagons are the usual mendip JNA boxes, but Thursdays usually a mix of KEA and older JNA boxes.
Shots here aren’t particularly great as there is a high fence (stepladder required or stretch arms up over the fence) and facing south you often get sun in the way.
