Located just east of Lewes Station its a great place for taking photos and spotting. Next to the footbridge is East Sussex College so the bridge can be busy at certain times. On a good day you can expect to see 313s, 377s, and two class 66s on freight to/from Newhaven.

Newhaven Harbour is just a few minutes up the line from Newhaven Town. Newhaven Harbour was originally built to serve the ferry terminal before Newhaven Marine (now disused) was built.

Newhaven Town Railway Station sees bi-weekly trains to Newhaven Marine aggregates terminal. Trains typically formed of JNA boxes, but can also be formed of HHA hoppers. Trains run empty into Newhaven Marine, via Newhaven Harbour, and then run loaded back to Acton, or Hither Green amongst other destinations (Crawley, Hoo, Neasden etc).
