Allocations Alerts Now Available

Allocation Alerts Now Available

Allocation alerts are now available for Rail Record Pro Members.

Following the introduction of C2C unit allocations, Rail Record now offers members two new types of alerts which are triggered upon unit assignment. The alerts can be used to get notified of when a particular schedule receives a train allocation, or when a particular unit gets assigned to a service / services.

The two new alerting options are as follows:

Schedule Allocation Alerts

These alerts are set on the train schedule page, just like alerts for Activation, First Movement, Cancellation, etc.

When you set an alert, you will be notified when a train is allocated to that particular working. The email will contain all units assigned to that working along with the link to the service.

Unit Allocation Alerts

You can search by train number allocation here on the day, or you can set to be notified when a particular unit gets assigned to one or more services. The email will list all workings for the unit you have set an alert for.

Optionally, you can set a particular timing point location so that you only get notified if the trigger unit passes your chosen location on its allocated journey.

In Summary

Currently train allocation alerts are available for C2C trains only as per our supported train operators on the allox page linked above. We expect more in time and when these become available, the alerts will also be supported for these services.

Allocation alerts on Rail Record are for stock assignments only and are not triggered by member-added sightings.
