DB 66109 Receives New PD Ports Livery

DB Cargo’s class 66 number 66109 is the latest locomotive to receive a blue livery. 66109 has recently been spotted in Tees Yard following a recent repaint into PD Ports blue livery.

This follows the recent re-livery of DB Cargo’s 66005, 66047, and 66142 which have each been repainted into Maritime Blue livery.

66109 transferred from Toton TMD to Tees Yard last night on 6Z46 to Tees New Yard. 6Z46 ran from Margam Terminal Complex to Middlesborough Dawson, which was headed by 66019. 66109 started working 0Z51 Toton to Tees this morning, however was cancelled at Masborough. 66019 picked up 66109 at Masborough and dropped it off at Tees.

A naming ceremony will be taking place in the comping days, at Tees Port, follow DB’s contract with a new customer. 66109 features large PD Ports logo in the center of the deep purple livery with cab side stickers featuring the PD Ports logo on one end, and DB sticker on the other. Both logos are seen on the front and back between the lights, below the cab windows. In addition, a DB logo is featured above a nameplate.

Update:

66109 was named ”Teesport Express” , following DB’s successful partnership with PD Ports. On Thursday 25th April 2019.
